Formalization of the process of processing requests for firewall configurations in the environment of the State institute for drug control

Abstract:

Procesní řízení je velmi populárním stylem řízení, který umožňuje firmám přesně specifikovat, jak se mají provádět činnosti nezbytné pro optimální chod společnosti. Za účelem správného fungování je nutné, aby byla stanovena pravidla, podle kterých mají pracovníci vykonávat jim svěřené činnosti. V této práci bude řešen tento problém v prostředí středně velkého podniku Státního ústavu pro kontrolu léčiv, kde je formalizován proces zpracování požadavků na konfigurace firewallu podle nejlepších praktik doporučených v ITIL. Nejprve je provedena literární rešerše, ze které jsou získány informace nezbytné k vypracování této práce. Následně je vypracována procesní mapa, RACI matice a jsou doplněné další náležitosti práce podle informací nalezených v literární rešerši. Poté jsou specifikovány informační technologie, kterými je daný proces podporován. V závěru práce je formalizovaný proces implementován v testovacím prostředí Státního ústavu pro kontrolu léčiv.

Abstract:

Process management is a very popular management method that allows companies to specify how the activities necessary for the optimal operation of the company are to be carried out. In order to function properly, it is necessary for the rules to be established by which employees are to perform the activities assigned to them. In this thesis, this problem will be addressed in the environment of a medium-sized enterprise of the State institute for drug control of Czech Republic, where the process of handling the requests for firewall configurations is formalized according to the best practices recommended in ITIL. First, a literature review is carried out, from which the information necessary to develop this thesis is obtained. Subsequently, a process map and RACI matrix are developed, and other parts of the thesis are completed according to the information found in the literature review. Afterwards, the information technologies that support the process are specified. Finally, the formalized process is implemented in the testing environment of the State institute for drug control.
