The Myth of the Work of Pavol Dobšinský

Abstract:

"The Myth of the Work (creation) of Pavol Dobšinsky" - Pavol Dobšinsky is strongly associated with folk tales collected by Slovaks, which he summed up under the name Prostonárodné slovenské povesti (Slovak national reputation). In this work we focus on it and try to explore its relationship to fairy tales, and this relationship can name it as "the creation of Pavol Dosinsky." We will monitor the extent to which the Dobšinsky collecting activity was associated with the creative act, and how, finally, the link is maintained and developed. The work offers insight into personalities that preceded Dobisinsky´s direction and also with those who have artistic enriched his work and thereby Slovak fairy tales kept in the consciousness of the Slovaks. A relatively large part of the work will be devoted to the actual tales, in particular their analysis, where with the help of various studies (mythology, psychology, folklore), we will comment on stories of tales and their individual sections and statements. The four chapters are ultimately trying to evaluate how we understand "the work (creation) of Pavol Dobšinsky" as well as to thing about the context we have created of this literary phenomenon, "Myth of Work (creation)".

Abstract:

„Mýtus tvorby Pavla Dobšinského“ – Pavla Dobšinského si Slováci silno spájajú s ľudovými rozprávkami, ktoré zozbieral a zhrnul pod názvom Prostonárodné slovenské povesti. V tejto práci sa na neho zameriame a pokúsime sa skúmať jeho vzťah k rozprávkam, pričom si tento vzťah pomenujeme ako „tvorba Pavla Dobšinského“. Budeme sledovať v akej miere sa Dobšinského zberateľská činnosť spájala s tvorivým aktom, a ako sa napokon jeho odkaz udržal a rozvinul. Práca ponúkne pohľad na osobnosti, ktoré predchádzali jeho smerovaniu a tiež na tých, ktorí jeho dielo umelecky obohacovali a tým slovenské rozprávky udržovali vo vedomí Slovákov. Pomerne rozsiahla časť práce bude venovaná samotným rozprávkam, konkrétne ich rozboru, kde za pomoci rôznych štúdií (mytológia, psychológia, folklór) budeme komentovať príbehy rozprávok, ich jednotlivé úseky a výroky. Pomocou štyroch kapitol sa v konečnom dôsledku pokúsime vyhodnotiť to, ako rozumieme „tvorbe Pavla Dobšinského“, ako aj nad týmto literárnym fenoménom rozvedieme úvahu pomocou nami vytvoreného kontextu, „Mýtus tvorby“.
