Bonding from the point of view of mothers and fathers

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak matky a otcové vnímají bonding, jestli se nacházely rozdíly ve vnímání bondingu, zda byli rodiče spokojeni s bondingem a zda jsou dostatečně informováni o podpoře bondingu. Metodika: Z důvodu citlivosti a možnostech subjektivního vnímání tématu byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu. Sběr dat probíhal metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Soubor participantů tvořilo 5 matek a 5 otců, kteří měli možnost bonding po porodu svého dítěte zažít. Rozhovory byly nahrávány a poté byla provedena doslovná transkripce rozhovorů. Byla provedena analýza výsledků a hledání souvislostí napříč jednotlivými rozhovory. Výsledky: Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že bonding je pozitivně vnímán matkami i otci dětí. Celkový pocit z bondingu je u matek ovlivněn především bolestmi, únavou a polohou při bondingování. U otců je ovlivněn především strachem, a to z manipulace s dítětem a strachem o matku dítěte. Základní informace o bondingu měl každý z participantů. Dokázali popsat co to bonding je, ale už nedokázali popsat důvody bondingu ani jeho podmínky. Všichni z oslovených by bonding doporučili i ostatním. Závěr: Kontakt se svým dítětem je příjemný pocit, který má mnoho pozitivních účinků. Strach by rozhodně neměl být překážkou pro kontakt s dítětem. Personál porodního sálu by měl rodiče v kontaktu podporovat a být jim nápomocni. Abstract:

Aims: The aim of the work was to find out how mothers and fathers perceive bonding, whether there were differences in bonding perception, whether parents were satisfied with bonding and whether they were sufficiently informed about bonding support. Methodology: The method of qualitative research was chosen because of the sensitivity and possibilities of subjective perception of the topic. Data collection was performed by the semi-structured interview method. The group of participants consisted of 5 mothers and 5 fathers who had the opportunity to bond after their child's birth. The interviews were recorded and then the literar verbal transcription of the interviews was performed. An analysis of the results and search for connections across the interviews was conducted. Results: The results of the research show that bonding is positively perceived by both mothers and fathers of the children. The overall bonding sensation in mothers is mainly influenced by pain, fatigue and position while bonding. Fathers are mainly influenced by fear, from child manipulation and worries about the child´s mother. Each of the participants had basic information about bonding. They were able to describe what bonding is, but they could no longer describe the reasons for bonding or its conditions. All of the respondents would recommend bonding to others. Conclusion: Contact with your own child is a pleasant feeling that has many positive effects. Fear should definitely not be a barrier to contact with the child.
