The success of people staying at the edge of our society due to the solution of their social position

Abstract:

Situace lidí na okraji společnosti, zkušenost s životem na ulici, nebo v jinak velmi nepříznivých podmínkách, dlouhotrvající nepříznivá sociální situace – to jsou silné negativní životní zkušenosti, které zásadním způsobem zasahují nejen do sociální reality, ale také se zásadním způsobem dotýkají člověka jako takového – jeho schopností změnit svoji životní situaci, uchovat své kompetence, které je k takové snaze zapotřebí využít. Ovlivňuje jeho postoj k majoritě, ze které byl vyřazen, k sobě samému, k pomoci, která se mu (ne)naskýtá k dispozici. V první části se diplomová práce věnuje základnímu kontextu životní situace lidí na okraji společnosti, vymezuje terminologii, stručně shrnuje základní teorii problému, všímá si příčin vzniku fenoménu bezdomovství a všestranně se zabývá otázkami řešení takových situací, aktuálními způsoby a možnostmi prevence. Druhá část se věnuje výzkumnému záměru práce, když hledá odpovědi na základní výzkumnou otázku: Co u lidí na okraji společnosti rozhoduje o jejich úspěšnosti? Na půdorysu kvalitativního výzkumu formou analýzy dokumentů, resp. případové studie (zdrojem dat je Odbor sociální péče Magistrátu města Brna) za využití teorie sociální integrace, identifikuje práce soubor aspektů, které jsou rozhodné při sociální úspěšnosti jednotlivých lidí (tj. dosažení plné sociální integrace) a stanovuje další podmínky a omezení, za kterých se tak může stát. Závěrečné části zjištěné poznatky interpretují a zasazují do vzájemných souvislostí.

Abstract:

Situation of the people at the edge of society, experience of life on the street or in an otherwise bad conditions, long-lasting adverse social situation - that all are the strong negative life experience, which significantly affect not only the social reality, but also significantly affect the human as well as his ability and competence to change his life situation. Affect his position on majority, from which he was withdrawn, to himself and to help which he can get (or not). In the first part of thesis, the author deals with the basic context of the situation of people living on the margins of society, defines terminology, briefly summarizes the basic theory of the problem, noting the causes of the emergence of the phenomenon of homelessness, comprehensively deals with the solving such situations and the actual possibilities of prevention. The second part focuses on the research project. Finding the answer to the basic research question: What is deciding about the success of people on the margins of society? The author chooses the form of qualitative research method and by analysis of documents, respectively case studies (data source is the Department of Social Welfare of the Town-council of Brno) using the theory of social integration, identifies a set of aspects that are important for the success of people (i.e. achieving full social integration). Furthermore, define the conditions and limitations under which it may become. In the final part the findings are interpreted and placed to the context.
