Identity in emerging adulthood

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with identity in emerging adulthood. The aim of this the-sis is to discover whether there is a difference in the experience and perception of one's own identity in the period of emerging adulthood between university students, their working peers and young people who study and work at the same time. The second aim is to investigate whether these three groups differ from each other in experiencing emerging adulthood in general. A quantitative design was chosen for the research. 109 respondents participated. A difference was found between the group of students and the group of students and workers. A difference in informative style was also found between the group of workers and the group of students and workers at the same time. No differences were found in other dimensions of emerg-ing adulthood and identity style variables. Possible interpretations of these findings are provided in the Discussion.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska diplomová práca sa zaoberá identitou vo vynárajúcej sa dospelosti. Jej cieľom je zistiť, či existuje rozdiel v prežívaní a vnímaní vlastnej identity v období vynárajúcej sa dospelosti medzi študentmi vysokej školy, ich pracujúcimi vrstovník-mi a mladými ľuďmi, ktorí zároveň študujú a pracujú. Jej ďalším cieľom je preskú-mať, či sa tieto tri skupiny od seba líšia v prežívaní vynárajúcej sa dospelosti vo vše-obecnosti. Pre výskum bol zvolený kvantitatívny design. Zapojilo sa 109 responden-tov. Bol nájdený rozdiel v zameraní na seba medzi skupinou študujúcich a skupinou študujúcich a zároveň pracujúcich. Bol takisto nájdený rozdiel v informatívnom štýle medzi skupinou pracujúcich a skupinou študujúcich a zároveň pracujúcich. V ostatných dimenziách vynárajúcej sa dospelosti a premenných štýlov identity ne-boli nájdené rozdiely. Možné interpretácie týchto zistení sú uvedené v diskusii.
