Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and the Quality of Spending Their Leasure Time

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem rodin dětí s poruchami autistického spektra (PAS), a způsoby jakými tyto rodiny tráví volný čas. Zaměřuje se na služby, které jsou těmto rodinám poskytovány. Zkoumá do jaké míry jsou s nimi rodiny spokojeny, a zda naplňují specifické potřeby rodin dětí s PAS. Pro uvedení problematiky trávení volného času rodin dětí s PAS, jsou v teoretické části, pomocí dostupné literatury, shrnuty poznatky z oborů pedagogiky a psychologie. Dále práce popisuje současné pojetí nabízených služeb a jednotlivé služby pro rodiny s PAS. Druhá část práce se věnuje výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo zmapovat kvalitu služeb a spokojenost rodin se současnou nabídkou volnočasových aktivit pro děti s PAS. Dalším cílem práce je zjistit, o jaké služby mají rodiny zájem, a zda jsou v nabídce. Kvalitativní výzkum probíhal formou rozhovorů s devíti rodinami dětí s PAS.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the topic of the family of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and the ways how these families spend their leisure time. It focuses on the services that are provided to these families. It examines if the families are satisfied with the current service offer and whether the offer meets the specific needs of families of children with ASD. Based on the available literature, the theoretical part summarizes knowledge from the fields of pedagogy and psychology in order to introduce the issue of spending free time by families of children with ASD. It also describes the concept of services, that are currently offered as well as individual services for families with ASD. The second part of the work devoted to research, whose aim was to map the quality of services and the satisfaction of families with the current offer of leisure activities for children with ASD. It also aims to find out what services are family interested and whether they are in offer. The qualitative research was done through interviews with nine families of children with ASD.
