Information ethics and the Internet

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problému etiky a ověřování informací v internetovém prostředí. S rostoucím množstvím dat v prostředí internetu se toto téma stává čím dál tím více aktuálním. Cílem práce je poskytnout základní znalosti nezbytné ke správnému ověřování informací na internetu. Ke splnění cíle práce slouží teoretické znalosti definované v první části práce. V práci je zmíněna informační etika, historie internetu a jsou vymezeny pojmy a zákony související s tímto tématem. Součástí je také krátká analýza článku na internetu, která poskytuje čtenáři jednoduchý návod, jak je možné si informace ověřovat. K ověření závěrů práce slouží dotazník a na základě zjištěných informací jsou definovány možnosti pro zlepšení současné situace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of ethics and verification of information on the Internet. This topic is becoming more and more relevant with the increasing amount of data on the Internet. The aim of the work is to provide basic knowledge necessary for the correct verification of information on the Internet. Theoretical knowledge defined in the first part serves to fulfill the aim of the thesis. The work mentions information ethics, the history of the Internet and defines the concepts and laws related to this topic. The thesis also includes a short analysis of the article on the Internet, which provides the reader with simple instructions on how to verify the information. A questionnaire is used to verify the conclusions of the work and on the basis of the obtained information the possibilities for improving the current situation are defined.
