Economic Costs of Brexit

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Ekonomické náklady Brexitu“ pojednává o možných dopadech, které bude mít vystoupení z Evropské unie na ekonomiku Velké Británie. V první části práce jsou popsána specifika integrace Velké Británie do Evropské unie a vysvětleny kořeny britského euro-skepticismu. Ve druhé části práce jsou charakterizovány teoretické scénáře opuštění EU, včetně jejich pozitiv, negativ a politického kontextu. Třetí část práce je věnována představení a porovnání potenciálních a odhadovaných dopadů Brexitu, které jsou publikovány v odborné literatuře.

Abstract:

The thesis called on „Economic cost of Brexit” deals with the possible impact of the withdrawal from the European Union to the economy of Great Britain. Particularities of the integration of Great Britain into the European Union and roots of British Euro-scepticism are described and explained in the first part of the thesis. In the second part, there are characterized theoretical scenarios of leaving the EU, including positives, negatives, and political context. The third part is dedicated to introducing and comparing potential and estimated impacts of Brexit, which are published in the literature.
