Criminal activity of male and female prisoners committed while serving a prison sentence

Abstract:

Diplomová práce ve své teoretické části pojednává o trestné činnosti osob a příčinách, jež směřují k jejímu páchání a k následnému nepodmíněnému odsouzení k výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. V rámci dané problematiky jsou v práci vymezeny a charakterizovány základní pojmy jako je zejména trestný čin, delikvence a patologické chování. Diplomová práce dále pojednává o obecném pojetí trestu a trestání. Řešena je zde též oblast vězeňství a negativní vlivy spojené s uvězněním. V dané souvislosti je pozornost věnována Vězeňské službě České republiky, jakožto ozbrojenému bezpečnostnímu sboru zaštiťujícímu výkon trestu odnětí svobody, výkon vazby a výkon zabezpečovací detence. V neposlední řadě se teoretická část diplomové práce zaměřuje na specifika odsouzených žen se zaměřením na odborné zacházení s odsouzenými ženami a vymezení základních odlišností od výkonu trestu odnětí svobody odsouzených mužů. Nedílnou součástí diplomové práce je též její metodologická část. V rámci metodologické části diplomové práce byla analyzována trestná činnost páchaná vězněnými osobami ve věznici, její četnost, charakter a rozdíly mezi trestnou činností odsouzených mužů a odsouzených žen.

Abstract:

In its theoretical part, the diploma thesis discusses the criminal activities of persons and their causes, which lead to its commission and subsequent unconditional sentencing to imprisonment. Within the framework of the issue, basic terms such as crime, delinquency and pathological behavior are defined and characterized in the thesis. The diploma thesis further discusses the general concept of punishment and punishment. The area of imprisonment and the negative effects associated with imprisonment are also addressed here. In this context, attention is paid to the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, as an armed security force protecting the execution of prison sentences, the execution of custody and the execution of security detention. Last but not least, the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the specifics of convicted women with a focus on the professional treatment of convicted women and the fundamental differences from the execution of a prison sentence for convicted men. Its methodological part is also an integral part of the thesis. As part of the methodological part of the diploma thesis, the criminal activity committed by incarcerated persons in the prison, its frequency, character and differences between the criminal activity of convicted men and convicted women were analysed.
