Apple iPad in Business

Abstract:

Diplomová práce má za úkol umístit Apple iPad do firemního prostředí a tím dokázat, že je vhodným pomocníkem pro firemní zákazníky z mnoha oblastí a typů podnikání. Práce představuje iPad, základní aplikace a kancelářský balík. Možnosti aplikací, nákup, vývoj a umístění na App Store nebo in-house server. Dále zabezpečení dat a komunikace. Práce také ukazuje jakým způsobem lze iPad konfigurovat, spravovat a řídit. K závěru tato práce pojednává o neobvyklé možnosti využití iPadu na golfovém hřišti, kde díky jeho implementaci získá společnost větší výtěžnost hřiště a rychlejší a efektivnější zisk informací o současném stavu hřiště. Dále tato část práce pojednává o možnosti využití iPadu v průmyslové výrobě, jako článek řízení. Posledním příkladem je využití iPadu ve státní správě v zahraničí, kde je iPad užit v policejním oddělení ve Spojených Státech.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis aims to situate the Apple iPad into the business environment and thereby prove, that it is a suitable tool for corporate customers in many areas and types of business. This work introduces the iPad, its core applications and office suite, optional applications, their purchase, development and placement to the App Store or in-house server. Furthermore it describes iPads data security and communication, configuration and administration. In the end of this work an unusual possibility of utilization on the golf course is discussed, where, thanks to its implementation, iPad can achieve higher profits for the company and quickly and efficiently provides information about the current condition of the course. Furthermore, this part of the work deals with the possibility of using iPad in industrial production, as a part of the management procedures. The final example is the application of the iPad in state administration abroad, where it is used in the police department in the United States.
