Alexandr Solženicyn byl významný sovětský a ruský autor 20. a 21. století, který se proslavil hlavně kritikou pracovních táborů a sovětského zřízení. Jeho zvětšující se nesouhlas s politikou Sovětského svazu přivedl k tomu, že byl nucen opustit zemi. Následný život na západě mu poskytl možnost vidět jiné politické postupy než jaké znal do té doby. Alexander Solzhenitsyn was an outstanding Soviet and Russian author during the 20th and 21st centuries. He was well-known for his criticism of labor camps and the Soviet establishment. Eventually, he was forced to leave the country because of his opinions.
