Solving Complex Problems Using the Method Design Thinking in the Area of Supply Chains

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení možností využití metody Design Thinking v oblasti dodavatelských řetězců v České republice. V práci je nejprve představen teoretický rámec výzkumu, tedy oblastí logistiky, dodavatelských řetězců, inovací a metody Design Thinking. Analytická část práce se skládá ze tří fází. Za pomoci dotazníkového šetření, které se zaměřuje jak na současnou obeznámenost s metodou v České republice, tak na ochotu ji přijmout a v pracovním procesu zde aplikovat, byly vyhodnoceny možnosti využití metody a důvody pro její akceptaci, či odmítnutí. Součástí práce je také případová studie, s níž je prezentováno využití metody v praxi manažersko-expertních procesů v oblasti řízení dodavatelských řetězců a logistiky. Následně jsou vyhodnoceny možné přínosy metody a potenciál jejího využití v pracovní praxi v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of using the Design Thinking method in the field of supply chains in the Czech Republic. The thesis first presents the theoretical framework of the research, i.e. the areas of logistics, supply chains, innovation and the Design Thinking method. The analytical part of the thesis consists of three phases. Using a questionnaire survey, which focuses on both the current familiarity with the method in the Czech Republic and the willingness to adopt and apply it in the work process here, the possibilities of using the method and the reasons for its acceptance or rejection were evaluated. The thesis also includes a case study, with which the use of the method in the practice of management-expert processes in the field of supply chain management and logistics is presented. Subsequently, the possible benefits of the method and the potential of its use in working practice in the Czech Republic are evaluated.
