Abstract:
Tato práce zkoumá vliv pohlaví pachatele na výsledky trestního řízení v České republice. Za použití rozsáhlých datasetů zahrnujících všechny trestní případy z let 1995 až 2015 jsou odhadovány modely lineárních pravděpodobností. Výsledky naznačují, že ženy mají nižší pravděpodobnost obžaloby, nižší pravděpodobnost odnětí svobody a kratší délku nepodmíněného trestu než muži, naopak však čelí větší pravděpodobnosti …more
Abstract:
This thesis examines the effect of gender on the outcomes of criminal processes in the Czech Republic using the full universe of criminal cases from 1995 to 2015. Results based on linear probability models indicate that female defendants face a lower probability of charge by the state prosecutor, a lower probability of imprisonment and shorter prison terms than their male counterparts.
