Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kontrastivní analýzou postav , motivů a symbolů ve vybraném díle – novele Eine blassblaue Frauenschrift od rakouského spisovatele Franze Werfela. V rámci jejího zpracování se zabývám nejprve autorovým životem a následně historickým kontextem vzniku díla. V další části se poté věnuji analýze novely.
