Abstract:
Huntingtonova choroba je závažné, nevyléčitelné, dědičné neurodegenerativní onemocnění, jejímž spouštěčem je mutantní protein huntingtin. K patofyziologickým rysům tohoto onemocnění patří vznik proteinových agregátů, poruchy v genové transkripci a energetickém metabolismu, oxidativní stres, excitotoxicita a zánět. Abstract:
Huntington's disease is a serious, incurable, inherited neurodegenerative disease, which is triggered by a mutant protein huntingtin. The pathophysiological features of this disease include formation of protein aggregates, dysregulation of gene transcription and energy metabolism, oxidative stress, excitotoxicity and inflammation.
