Abstract:

Štěstí je jedním z hlavních podnětů života. Od roku 2006, kdy New Foundation Economics (NEF) navrhl vypočítat index štěstí („Happy Planet Index“), během krátkých deset let od této chvíle byly provedeny širší cross-disciplinární studie. Zájem o štěstí vzrostl v akademickém světě, v masových sdělovacích prostředích a ve veřejné politice. V roce 2012 Valné shromáždění OSN navrhlo použit ukazatel úrovně štěstí namísto HDP, jako orientační bod v politice státu. Nicméně, existuje celá řada kritických práci, které analyzují měření štěstí. Tato práce obsahuje přehled koncepcí, metod a výsledků studií o štěstí v sociálních vědách. A také je pokus odhalit sociálně-filozofické předpoklady pojetí štěstí, stanovit obsah pojmu štěstí a jeho význam pro sociologii, porovnat zvláštnosti konceptualizaci štěstí v různých studiích. V této práci je poskytován přehled tendencí v současné sociologii při zkoumání faktorů ovlivňujících štěstí.

Abstract:

Happiness is one of the main stimulus of life. Since 2006, when the New Foundation Economics (NEF) proposed to calculate the happiness index («Happy Planet Index»), within a short decade many interdisciplinary researches has been carried out. Interest in happiness has grown in the academic community, in the media and in public policy. In 2011, the UN General Assembly proposed using the index of happiness, not GDP, as a benchmark of public policy. Nevertheless, there are a number of critical works that analyze the measurement of happiness. This paper presents a review of the concepts, methods and results of happiness researches in the social sciences. Moreover, was made an attempt to reveal the socio-philosophical preconditions for a sociological understanding of happiness, to determine the content of happiness concept and its significance for sociology, and to compare the features of the conceptualization of happiness in various studies. In addition, this paper provides an overview of trends in contemporary sociology in the study of factors affecting the happiness.
