This diploma thesis is focused on the functioning of the mortgage market in the Czech Republic, and helps future debtors to understand the mortgage loan products. The introductory chapter is devoted to the history and definition of mortgage loan in terms of legislation, its characteristics and possible sources of funding of mortgage loans.
