Tělocvičná jednota Sokol v Táboře působí na táborské sportovní a kulturní scéně již od roku 1883. V roce 2018 oslavila jubilejních 135 let od svého založení. Tato diplomová práce analyzuje proměny společenské role této jednoty v kontextu univerzálních sokolských hodnot, tradic a významu Sokola v minulosti i v současnosti. T.J. Sokol in Tábor has been active on sports and cultural scene of town Tábor since 1883. In 2018, it celebrated its 135th anniversary since its foundation. This master's thesis analyzes changes in the social role of this unity in the context of universal Sokol values, traditions and importance of Sokol in the past and in the present.
