Urban and regional development actors from the perspective of gender balance

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na aktéry rozvoje měst a regionů v genderové vyváženosti. Analyzuje podíl zastoupení mužů a žen ve správě na různých typech úřadů. Úvodní část bakalářské práce se zabývá teoretickém vymezením. Vymezuje veřejnou správu, orgány obce a krajů, dále se zabývá pojmem gender a pohlaví, diskriminace a rovnost. Poslední kapitola obsahuje přístupy a doporučení ke zlepšení genderové vyváženosti. Hlavním úkolem je zanalyzovat zastoupení mužů a žen na vedoucích a referentských pozicích v organizacích a orgánech zabývajících se regionálním rozvojem, a to na úrovni měst, krajů a rozvojových agentur.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on the actors of urban and regional development in gender balance. It illustrates the proportion of male and female representation in governance in different types of authorities. The introductory part of the bachelor´s thesis deals with the theoretical definition. It defines public administration, municipal and regional authorities, and discusses the concept of gender and sex, discrimination and equality. The last chapter contains approaches and recommendations to improve gender balance. The main objective is to analyse the representation of men and women in leadership and officer positions in organisations and bodies dealing with regional development, at the level of cities, regions and development agencies.
