Euroregion Těšínské Slezsko and its role in strengthening cross-border cooperation

Anotácia:

Tématem bakalářské práce je euroregion Těšínské Slezsko a jeho role při posilování transhraniční spolupráce mezi Českou republikou a Polskem. Cílem práce je zjistit jakou roli hraje euroregion Těšínské Slezsko při posilování transhraniční spolupráce mezi oběma sousedícími státy. Jakou úroveň tato spolupráce má a jaké specifické faktory na ní působí. Čím činí tyto faktory transhraniční spolupráci v tomto euroregionu jedinečnou a jak se liší od transhraniční spolupráce v ostatních euroregionech. Celá práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části popisuje vznik a fungování euroregionů a dotační programy podporující transhraniční spolupráci. V další části se již věnuje pouze euroregionu Těšínské Slezsko a Polské menšině, která v euroregionu působí. V praktické části se pak práce věnuje případové analýze projektu Český Těšín / Cieszyn INEurope, s cílem ukázat úroveň přeshraniční spolupráce v euroregionu. Poté následuje SWOT analýza transhraniční spolupráce v euroregionu, která popisuje silné a slabé stránky, rovněž pak příležitosti a hrozby.

Abstract:

The theme of the bachelor's thesis is the Euroregion of Těšín Silesia and its role in strengthening transborder cooperation between the Czech Republic and Poland. The aim of the work is to find out what role the Euroregion of Těšín Silesia plays in strengthening transborder cooperation between the two neighbouring states. What level of this cooperation is and what specific factors are at work on it. What makes these factors of trans-border cooperation unique in this Euroregion and how they differ from trans-border cooperation in other Euroregions. The whole work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, it describes the formation and functioning of euroregions and subsidy programmes supporting trans-border cooperation. In the next section, he already devotes himself only to the Euroregion Těšín Silesia and the Polish minority, which operates in the Euroregion. In the practical part, the work is devoted to case analysis of the project Český Těšín / Cieszyn INEurope, with the aim of showing the level of cross-border cooperation in the Euroregion. This is followed by the SWOT analysis of transborder cooperation in the Euroregion, which describes strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats.
