Effect of item difficulty information on item's psychometric properties
Abstract:
Cílem této studie bylo otestovat vztah vnímané obtížnosti a výkonu na kognitivních testech a to, jakou roli v něm hraje úzkost. Výzkumný soubor činil 95 žáků 4.-6. ročníku základní školy. Předpoklad byl, že vnímaná obtížnost ovlivňuje úzkost, která pak vede k horším výkonům. Nebyl nalezen rozdíl v úzkosti ani ve výkonu způsobený přítomností informace o obtížnosti. Abstract:
The aim of this study was to test the relationship between perceived difficulty and performance on cognitive tests and what role anxiety plays in it. The research population consisted of 95 students in grades 4-6 of elementary school. The hypothesis was that perceived difficulty influences anxiety, which then leads to poorer performance.
