An overview of the history of instant photography, including discusssions relating to the use of the medium in the art world and its status therein, and the most popular Polaroid cameras. The future of instant analogue photography, particularly relating to the uneasy partnership between the Polaroid Corporation and the Netherlands-based The Impossible Project, is also discussed at some length.
