Aikkaa ei ole paljon. The Kven in Norway – language shift or language maintenance?
Abstract:
This master´s diploma thesis deals with Kven, a minority language in Norway. The thesis is focused on possible language shift or language maintenance in this minority and context of running language revitalization. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate language situation of Kven by finding out what are the factors determining the language shift or language maintenance.
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se věnuje kvenštině, norskému minoritnímu jazyku, a otázce jeho zachování nebo asimilace s většinovým jazykem, norštinou. Tato práce si klade za cíl zmapovat jazykovou situaci kvenštiny a zjistit, jaké faktory ovlivňují jazykovou směnu, resp. zachování jazyka v kontextu jazykové revitalizace kvenštiny.
