Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Gender v managementu“ je prozkoumání profesních bariér, s jakými se setkávají ženy v manažerských pozicích, a porovnání jejich vnímání u manažerek v České republice a Ruské federaci. Na základě literární rešerše je sestavena teoretická část práce, která je základem pro empirický výzkum. Data získaná z dotazníkového šetření byla za účelem verifikace stanovených hypotéz a zodpovězení výzkumných otázek statisticky zpracována a vyhodnocena. Výsledky ukázaly, že zatímco organizační bariéry jsou manažerkami z obou zemí chápány podobně, bariéry individuální a společenské jsou Ruskami vnímány jako intenzivnější. Výsledky průzkumu jsou dále diskutovány a komparovány s relevantními publikacemi jiných autorů, v závěru jsou pak navržena i obecná doporučení pro zlepšení genderové rovnováhy v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis "Gender in Management" is to look into the career barriers faced by women in managerial positions. The thesis aims to compare how women managers in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation perceive these obstacles. Based on literary research, the theoretical part of the thesis, which is the basis for empirical research was created. The data obtained from the questionnaire survey were statistically processed and evaluated to verify the established hypotheses and answer the research questions. The results showed that while organizational barriers are understood similarly by female managers from both countries, individual and social barriers are perceived as more in-tensive by Russian respondents. The results of the survey are further dis-cussed and compared with relevant publications of other authors. In the end, general recommendations for improving the gender balance in this area are proposed.
