Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vyhodnocením přínosů nasazení Cobbovy-Douglasovy produkční funkce s časovým parametrem oproti její základní verzi na základě dat o farmaceutickém průmyslu v Německu. Teoretická část se věnuje popisu základních pojmů spojených s touto problematikou a také jednotlivých typů produkčních funkcí. Dále je zde rozebrána i současná situace ve farmaceutickém průmyslu v Německu. Jsou navrženy konkrétní modely s časovým rozšířením. V empirické části pak do-jde k provedení shlukové analýzy a následně k odhadu jednotlivých modifikací produkční funkce. Tyto modifikace produkční funkce budou odhadnuty také pro agregovaná data tohoto odvětví. Jednotlivé odhadnuté modely jsou interpretovány a kriticky posouzeny, dojde k porovnání klasické verze Cobbovy-Douglasovy produkční funkce s Cobbovou-Douglasovou produkční funkcí s časovým parametrem. Přínosy časově rozšířené Cobbovy-Douglasovy produkční funkce byly prokázány u většiny analyzovaných datových sad.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the evaluation of the benefits of using the Cobb-Douglas production function with a time parameter compared to its basic version based on data on the pharmaceutical industry in Germany. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts associated with this topic and main types of production functions. The current situation in the pharmaceutical industry in Germany is also discussed in this part. Specific models with time extension are suggested. The empirical part captures the cluster analysis and analysis of individual modifications of the production function. These modifications of the production function will also be estimated for the aggregate data of this industry. The models are interpreted and critically qualified, the classical version of the Cobb-Douglas production function is compared with the Cobb-Douglas production function with a time parameter. The benefits of the time-extended Cobb-Douglas production function have been demonstrated for most of the datasets analysed.
