Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou bezpečnostních systémů IDS a IPS. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní vlastnosti těchto systémů. Porovnává chování hardwarového firewallu Cisco ASA 5505 a systému Snort a představuje možnosti jejich konfigurace. Praktická část je založena na testech, které ověřují schopnost bezpečnostních systémů detekovat vybrané počítačové útoky. Výsledkem práce je komparativní analýza chování těchto systémů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of security systems IDS and IPS. The theoretical part describes the basic properties of these systems. It compares the behavior of a hardware firewall Cisco ASA 5505 and system Snort and presents the possibility of their configuration. Practical part is based on tests that verify the ability of security systems to detect selected computer attacks. The result is a comparative analysis of the behavior of these systems.
