Peer to peer insurance

Abstract:

Abstrakt Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je využití peer-to-peer (P2P) modelu, a to především v pojišťovnictví. Pro přiblížení tohoto tématu je nutné vysvětlit si pojem „sdílená ekonomika“, ze kterého princip peer-to-peer vychází. Jelikož se tento model pojištění pouze vrací ke kořenům pojišťovnictví za pomoci moderních technologií, je v práci přiblížen i vývoj oboru pojišťovnictví. Jelikož mají inovace velké zastoupení ve fungování těchto pojišťoven, část práce je věnována InsurTechu a inovacemi s ním spojenými. Cílem této práce je jak srovnání peer-to-peer modelu s komerčním modelem, tak i analýza chodu vybraných zahraničních P2P pojišťoven a české P2P pojišťovny Pillow.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the use of peer-to-peer (P2P) model, especially in the insurance industry. To approach this topic, it is necessary to explain the concept of "shared economy", which is the principle of peer-to-peer. Since this model of insurance only returns to the roots of insurance with the help of modern technologies, the work also describes the development of the field of insurance. As innovations have a large representation in the functioning of these insurance companies, part of the work is devoted to InsurTech and related innovations. The aim of this work is to compare the peer-to-peer model with the commercial model, as well as to analyze the operation of selected foreign P2P insurance companies and the Czech P2P insurance company Pillow.
