Women in Swedish Literature. Analysis of Selected Authors And Their Heroines Across the Twentieth Century

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá ženskými autorkami ve švédské literatuře. První část práce rozebírá pojem ženské psaní a obsahuje také poetiku literární postavy ve 20. století. Dále je zde popsána historie ženských autorek ve Švédsku. V druhé části práce je provedena analýza čtyř vybraných autorek a jejich hrdinek napříč 20. stoletím. Analýza se zaměřuje na vývoj hrdinek a témat během století a na jejich pojetí autorkami.

Abstract:

The presented thesis examines female authors in Swedish literature. In the first part, the text discusses the term women’s literature and includes poetics of literary figures in the 20th century. There the history of female authors in Sweden is also described. The core of the thesis is the analysis of four selected authors and their heroines across the 20th century. The analysis focuses on the development of the heroines and themes throughout the century, and their conception by the authors.
