Determining the estimation of the laboriousness of the implementation of the Business Intelligence task

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma "Stanovení odhadu pracnosti implementace úlohy Business Intelligence" se věnuje formulaci metody pro odhadování složitosti, resp. pracnosti návrhu datového modelu dimenzionálního charakteru ve fázi předprojektové přípravy, tedy v době, kdy nejsou formulovány obchodní či uživatelské požadavky a nelze tak navrhnout finální dimenzionální model. V první části práce je nastíněna problematika dimenzionálního modelování a funkčních bodů a je navržena vlastní metoda hodnocení složitosti a pracnosti navrhovaného datového modelu. Ve druhé části práce je pomocí navržené metody řešena aplikovaná úloha. Formou případových studií je opakovaně ověřena použitelnost navržené metody, která umožňuje určit předpokládanou složitost a pracnost navrhovaného datového modelu a také umožňuje hodnotit již existující implementovaný datový model.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis on the topic "Determining the estimation of the laboriousness of the implementation of the Business Intelligence task" deals with the formulation of a method for estimating the complexity, resp. dimensional data model design effort in the phase of pre project preparation, ie at a time when no business or user requirements have been formulated and it is not possible to design the final dimensional model. The first part of the thesis outlines the issues of dimensional modeling and functional points and proposes its own method for evaluating the complexity and desigh effort of the proposed data model. In the second part of the thesis the applied problem is solved using the proposed method. The applicability of the proposed method is repeatedly verified in the form of case studies, which allows to determine the expected complexity and design effort of the proposed data model and also allows to evaluate the already existing implemented data model.
