Anotácia:

Diplomová práce má za cíl popsat novou metodologii překladu divadelních textů s názvem dramaturgický překlad. Tato metoda již několikátým rokem vzniká na Katedře divadelních studií a Katedře anglistiky a amerikanistiky v Brně. Práce obsahuje tři teoretické kapitoly a analýzu překladu hry Benjamina Griffina Whig a Tory (1720) za použití výše uvedené metody. Diplomová práce shrnuje typické znaky divadelních překladů a historický přehled spolupráce při překládání. Práce zejména popisuje celý proces dramaturgického překladu Griffinovy hry, kterému byla autorka práce přítomna.

Abstract:

The thesis outlines the new methodology of dramaturgical translation for the theatre which has been in development at the Department of Theatre Studies and the Department of English and American Studies in Brno. The thesis contains three theoretical chapters and an analysis of the translation of Benjamin Griffin’s Whig and Tory (1720) employing the aforementioned method. The thesis provides features of theatre translations and the historical overview of collaborative translation. Chiefly, it describes the whole process of dramaturgical translation of Griffin’s play to which the author of the thesis was present.
