Lobbying as an investment

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na problematiku lobbingu a jeho pojetí v dnešní i minulé společnosti. První teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením lobbingu od korupce, jeho rolí ve společnosti, strategiemi a jeho regulacemi. Teoretická část práce přináší i detailnější pohled na lobbing v rámci Spojených států amerických a Spojeného království, jakožto zemí s jeho největší historickou tradicí. V rámci těchto zemí je v práci pojednáváno o regulacích a zákonech od historických až po ty současné, které jsou pro lobbing v těchto zemích nastaveny. Praktická část práce se zabývá konkrétními případy lobbingových aktivit na území Spojených států a Spojeného království, kdy jsou konkrétně zkoumány jak dříve datované kauzy, tak i ty z posledních let. Na základě odlišných historických i současných regulí v rámci těchto států jsou následně porovnávány jejich odlišně přístupy v rámci řešení jednotlivých kauz.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of lobbying and i tis a concept in todays and past societies. The first theoretical part of the thesis deals with the differentiation of lobbying from corruption, it is roles in society, strategies and regulations. The theoretical part of the work also provides a more detailed view of lobbying within the United States of America and the United Kingdom, as the countries with the biggest historic traditions. For these countries, the work discusses regulations and laws, from historic to the current point of view, which are set for lobbying in these countries. The practical part of the work deals with the particular cases of lobbying activities in the United States and the United Kingdom. Both previously dated cases and those from recent years are specifically examined. On the basis of different historic and current regulations within these states, their different approaches to solving individual cases are subsequently compared.
