Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo zmapovat výskyt Post intensive care syndromu (PICS) u pacientů, kteří byli hospitalizováni na pracovištích Klinice anesteziologie a intenzivní medicíny (KARIM) Fakultní nemocnice v Ostravě. Dílčími cíly bylo zjistit, zdali výskyt Post intensive syndromu ovlivňuje věk a nejvyšší dosažené vzdělání. A zhodnotit rozdíly v projevech PICS. Cílem kvalitativního výzkumného šetření je popsat prožívání a vzpomínky pacientů, kteří byli hospitalizováni na KARIM FNO. Posoudit jejich potíže po propuštění do domácí péče a jejich návrat k běžnému životu. Kvantitativní výzkum probíhal od června 2020 do ledna 2022. Použit byl dotazník The Healthy Aging Brain Care (HABC) Monitor, který je validován pro použití u PICS. Následně bylo provedeno zpracování a statistická analýza dat. Z výsledků vyplývá, že existují rozdíly v projevech PICS v rámci projevů fyzických, psychických i kognitivních potíží. Věk pacientů hrál také roli při vzniku PICS. Kvalitativní výzkumné šetření probíhalo formou polostukturovaných rozhovorů se 3 bývalými pacienty KARIM FNO.

Abstract:

The aim of this master's thesis was to map the incidence of Post Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) in patients hospitalized at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (KARIM) of the University Hospital in Ostrava. The sub-objectives were to determine whether the occurrence of Post Intensive Syndrome is influenced by age and the highest level of education. Another sub-objective was to evaluate the differences in the manifestations of PICS. The aim of the qualitative research survey is to describe the experiences and memories of patients who were hospitalized at KARIM FNO, and to assess their difficulties after discharge to home care and their return to normal life. The quantitative research was conducted from June 2020 to January 2022. The Healthy Aging Brain Care (HABC) Monitor questionnaire was used, which is validated for use in PICS. Subsequently, data processing and statistical analysis were performed. The results show that there are differences in the manifestations of PICS in terms of physical, mental and cognitive difficulties. Patients' age also played a role in the development of PICS. The qualitative research survey was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 3 former patients of KARIM FNO.
