Lead logistics provider integration and its impact on supply chain resilience

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je analýza a možnosti využití modelu tzv. „lead logistics provider“ se zaměřením na dopady vztahující se na resilienci dodavatelských řetězců vybraných firem v regionu EMEA. Teoretická část předkládá základní přehled outsourcingu v logistice a teorií, členění a vymezení logistických poskytovatelů, proces výběru logistických poskytovatelů a kritéria výberu společně s riziky, a vymezení pojmu resilience v dodavatelských řetězcích. Praktická část se soustředí na charakteristiku logistických procesů vybraných firem, výběrová kritéria s riziky využívající při rozhodování o outsourcingu logistických poskytovatelů, a jejich postoj vůči využívání modelu tzv. „lead logistics provider“. Na základě analýzy jsou předloženy výsledky shrnující postoj vybraných firem vůči využívání tzv. „lead logistics provider“ s dopadem na resilienci jejich dodavatelských řetezců.

Abstract:

The subject of this master’s thesis is research on the integration of the lead logistics provider model with a focus on supply chain resilience in companies in the EMEA region. The theoretical framework proposes a foundational overview of logistics outsourcing and its theories, risks associated with logistics outsourcing, logistics service providers, selection process and selection criteria considered during the decision-making process related to logistics outsourcing, and supply chain resilience. The empirical part comprises the characterization of the logistics design of the interviewed companies. Furthermore, the selection criteria, risk factors, and attitude towards the lead logistics provider model are derived from the primary data collection. Finally, the main findings and conclusions associated with the appropriateness of the LLP model integration are discussed.
