Nutrition counselling of childhood age

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se věnuje jednotlivým věkovým kategoriím dětského věku a faktory, které by měl výživový poradce při poradenství zohlednit – duševní a fyzický vývoj dítěte, jeho výživové potřeby a faktory prostředí, které ovlivňují stravování dítěte. Práce dále podává přehled o výživových poradnách a dalších institucích, které se v ČR věnují výživě dětí. Vyzdvihnuty jsou nejčastější problémy výživy v dětském věku a je popsán proces utváření potravinových preferencí. V praktické části je zpracována charakteristika klientů, kteří navštěvují Poradnu výživy a laktační poradnu v Brně s popisem jednoho vybraného případu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the particular categories of childhood age and with the factors that a diet counsellor should take into consideration during counseling – the psychical and physical development of the child, his/her diet needs and the factors of the environment which influence the child’s diet. The thesis also offers an overview of the counseling centers and other institutions that deal with children’s nutrition. A lot of attention is given to the most frequent diet problems in childhood and to the description of the development of food preferences. The practical part deals with the characteristics of the clients who visit the Diet counseling center and lactation center in Brno. It includes a description of one chosen case.
