Assessment of the client's creditworthiness in connection with credit risk management

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci se zabývám hodnocením bonity klientů v souvislosti s úvěrovým rizikem v bankovnictví. Cílem mé práce je analyzovat úvěrové riziko a popsat způsoby, kterými může banka toto riziko řídit či omezit v souvislosti s poskytováním úvěrů. V první části své práce se zaměřuji na řízení úvěrového rizika, na jednotlivá opatření pro zajištění úvěrového rizika jako jsou např. limity angažovanosti vůči jednotlivým osobám či ekonomicky spjatým osobám. Dále se zabývám hodnocením bonity fyzických osob, konkrétněji metodou scoring a úvěrovými registry. V další části se věnuji hodnocení bonity právnických osob, kde uvádím charakteristiky, které je důležité sledovat pro správné rozhodnutí o kredibilitě potencionálního klienta. Jedná se především o finanční ukazatele jako rentabilita, likvidita, ale také o nefinanční charakteristiky jako kvalita vedení či konkurenceschopnost. V poslední části své práce využiji všechny teoretické poznatky ke zhodnocení bonity společnosti MADETA a. s.

Abstract:

In my bachelor's thesis I deal with the evaluation of the creditworthiness of clients in connection with credit risk in banking. The aim of my work is to analyze credit risk and describe the ways in which the bank can manage or reduce this risk in connection with the provision of loans. In the first part of my work I focus on credit risk management, on individual measures for securing credit risk, such as limits on exposure to individuals or economically connected persons. I also deal with the evaluation of the creditworthiness of individuals, more specifically the scoring method and credit registers. In the next part I deal with the evaluation of the creditworthiness of legal entities, where I present the characteristics that are important to monitor for the right decision on the credibility of a potential client. These are mainly financial indicators such as profitability, liquidity, but also non-financial characteristics such as the quality of management or competitiveness. In the last part of my work I will use all theoretical knowledge to evaluate the creditworthiness of MADETA a. s.
