The context of dread diseases and their insurance

Abstract:

Předmětem této závěrečné práce je posouzení vybraných aspektů souvisejících se závažnými onemocněními a jejich pojištěním. První kapitola obsahuje teoretická východiska pojištění a na základě rešerší dostupných zdrojů identifikuje vybraná závažná onemocnění. V druhé kapitole je proveden výběr pojišťoven. Komparací definic pojištění těchto onemocnění je porovnán přístup vybraných pojišťoven k pojištění závažných onemocnění. Vyčíslení ekonomických dopadů je obsahem třetí kapitoly; on-line průzkumem jsou zjištěny náklady na zdravotní pomůcky a léčbu. Na základě získaných dat je provedeno rámcové doporučení pro nastavení pojistné částky. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou identifikována problematická místa likvidace pojistné události prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu.

Abstract:

The subject of this final thesis is the assessment of selected aspects related to serious diseases and their insurance. The first chapter con-tains the theoretical background of the insurance and identifies selected serious diseases based on the research of available sources. In the second chapter, a selection of insurance companies is made. By comparing the definitions of insurance for these diseases, the approach of the se-lected insurers to the insurance of serious diseases is compared. Quanti-fication of the economic impact is the content of the third chapter; an on-line survey identifies the costs of medical care and treatment. On the basis of the data obtained, a framework for setting the sum insured is provided. In the fourth chapter, the bottlenecks of the insurance claim settlement are identified through qualitative research.
