The Effect of Selected Businesses on the Labour Market in the Liberec Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na trh práce Libereckého kraje. Snahou je zmapovat strukturu trhu práce, identifikovat největší regionální zaměstnavatele a zjistit, jak silná existuje závislost mezi vývojem počtu zaměstnanců těchto podnikatelských subjektů a mírou nezaměstnanosti. První část práce je věnována teorii týkající se trhu práce, nezaměstnanosti a nástrojů politiky zaměstnanosti. Dále, v praktické části, je popsána situace v Libereckém kraji, kdy je region charakterizován po stránce geografické, socio-demografické a ekonomické. Pozornost je pak především věnována zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti v kraji. Ukazatele jsou porovnávány v čase, s celostátními průměry a ostatními kraji. Jsou zde uvedeni největší zaměstnavatelé v kraji a pomocí korelační analýzy je zkoumána závislost míry nezaměstnanosti na počtu zaměstnaných pracovníků u těchto velkých podnikatelských subjektů, a to jak ve státní, tak soukromé sféře. Závěrem práce je zhodnocení výsledků korelační analýzy a celkové zhodnocení současné situace na trhu práce v Libereckém kraji.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the labour market of the Liberec Region. The aim is to map the structure of the labour market, identify the largest regional employers and find out how the strong dependence exists between the development of the number of employees of these business entities and rate of unemployment. The first part is devoted to the theory concerning the labour market, unemployment and instruments of employment policy. Furthermore, in the practical part is described the characteristics of the Liberec region, where the region is described of geographic, socio -demographic and economic side. The attention is mainly paid employment and unemployment in the region. The indicators are compared in years, with national averages and other regions. There are listed the largest employers in the region and using correlation analysis explore the dependence of the rate of unemployment on the number of workers employed by these large business entities, both in the public and private sectors. Conclusion of work is evaluation the results of correlation analysis and overall assessment of the current situation on the labour market in Liberec region.
