Anotace:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou vybranej časti diskografie speváčky Lany Del Rey. Jej cieľom je preskúmať vývoj jej hudobnej tvorby a prevládajúce témy americkej kultúry a patriotizmu, ktoré sú evidentné v jej albumoch Born to Die, Paradise (rozšírenie), Ultraviolence, Norman Fucking Rockwell!, Chemtrails Over the Country Club a Blue Banisters. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá spornými otázkami, ktoré sa týkajú kultúrnej apropriácie a romantizácie násilia. Okrem toho skúma ústredný prvok hudby Del Rey, ktorým je zobrazenie žien.

Abstract:

This thesis delves into the analysis of a select portion of singer Lana Del Rey's discography. It aims to examine the evolution of her musical oeuvre and the prevalent themes of American culture and patriotism that are evident in her albums Born to Die, Paradise (the extension), Ultraviolence, Norman Fucking Rockwell!, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, and Blue Banisters. The study sheds light on the contentious issues surrounding cultural appropriation and the romanticization of abuse. Moreover, it explores the central element of Del Rey's music, which is the portrayal of women.
