Design and implementation of React Native mobile application for real estate finance management

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a implementací React Native mobilní aplikace pro správu financí nemovitostí. Jejím cílem je vytvořit aplikaci, která uživateli umožní vytvoření přehledu o finančních aktivitách týkajících se jím spravovaných či užívaných nemovitostí. V úvodu práce byla čtenáři přiblížena problematika nemovitostí vycházející z dat Českého statistického úřadu (popřípadě dalších relevantních pramenů) a financí s nimi spojených. Po prozkoumání těchto dat byl proveden explorativní předvýzkum v podobě analýzy podobně zaměřených aplikací a kvalitativních rozhovorů orientovaných na požadavky potencionálních uživatelů navrhované aplikace. Na základě nasbíraných podkladů byl sestaven návrh mobilní aplikace nesoucí jméno Home$pent. Návrh se skládá z definice funkčních a nefunkčních vlastností aplikace, opodstatnění výběru metody vývoje a využitého programovacího jazyka a návrhu databáze. Autor v návrhu aplikace využíval nástroje jako jsou konceptuální model, případy užití nebo schéma sestavení obrazovek. V práci byl dále popsán proces implementace aplikace pomocí platformy Expo. Představeny byly klíčové implementační kroky, technologie a využité knihovny. Na závěr této práce bylo provedeno manuální otestování aplikace a vyhodnoceno kvantitativní šetření v podobě elektronického dotazníku zaměřeného na evaluaci aplikace, ze kterého vyplynulo, že 83 % respondentů by si dokázalo představit aplikaci využívat v delším časovém horizontu a mohla by tedy pro ně být přínosná. Představené kroky vývojového cyklu mobilní aplikace a poznatky autora mohou čtenáři být přínosem při možné vlastní realizaci vývoje multiplatformní mobilní aplikace. Stěžejní součástí této práce jsou zdrojové kódy aplikace Home$pent, která byla dle návrhu implementována, a o které tato práce pojednává.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of React Native mobile application for real estate finance management. Its aim is to create an application that allows its user to provide an overview of financial activities related to the real estate they manage or have in use. In the introduction part, the reader is presented to the issue of real estate environment based on data provided by the Czech Statistical Office (or other relevant sources) and the finances associated with it. After examining these data, an exploratory preliminary research was performed in the form of analysis of similarly focused applications and qualitative interviews focused on the requirements of potential users of the proposed application. Based on the data collected, a mobile application called Home$pent was created. The design consists of the definition of functional and non-functional properties of the application, justification of the choice of development method and the used programming language and database design. The author uses tools such as the conceptual model, use cases or screen layout scheme in the application design. The process of application implementation using the Expo platform is further being described in the thesis. The key implementation steps, technologies and used libraries are presented as well. At the end of this thesis, a manual testing of the application was performed, and a quantitative survey was evaluated in a form of an electronic questionnaire focused on application evaluation showing that 83% of respondents could imagine using the application during a longer period of time and that it could therefore be beneficial for them. The presented steps of the development cycle of the mobile application and the author's findings can be beneficial to the reader during their own possible implementation of the development of such multiplatform mobile application. The crucial part of this thesis would be the Home$pent application source codes implemented according to the design, and which this thesis further discusses.
