Evaluation of nutritional status of critically ill elderly people

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit nutriční stav vzorku kriticky nemocných seniorů a porovnat se stavem výživy kriticky nemocných ve věku 18?64 let věku, hospitalizovaných na ARK dospělí FNO. Do souboru byli zařazení kriticky nemocní pacienti hospitalizovaní na ARK dospělí Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava, splňující základní kriteria pro zařazení do souboru. V souvislosti s vylučujícími kriterii byl výsledný soubor složen ze 71 pacientů hospitalizovaných na oddělení ARK dospělí, v období leden až srpen 2011. V naší práci jsme posuzovali výsledky jednotlivých nástrojů podle věku, rodinného stavu a pohlaví. Z výsledků našeho šetření vyplývá, že výsledky jednotlivých parametrů se pro věkové skupiny lišily, rozdíly však nebyly statisticky významné.

Abstract:

This study was conducted to determine the nutritional status of critically ill elderly sample and to compare it to the nutritional status of critically ill patients aged 18 to 64, hospitalized at University Hospital Ostrava - Critical Care unit. Included were critically ill patients hospitalized at University Hospital Ostrava ? Critical Care Unit, who met the basic criteria for inclusion. Together with elimination criteria, the resulting set was composed of 71 patients hospitalized at the above mentioned unit, in the period from January to August 2011. In our study we assessed the results of each instrument according to age, marital status and gender. The results of our investigation show that the results of the parameters were different for both age groups, but statistically not significant.
