Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je preskúmať rodovú nekonvenčnosť v románoch Daphne du Maurier Duch lásky a Francúzova zátoka. Rozbor práce sa zameriava na hlavné postavy Janet a Donu, podľa poradia, ktoré permanentne cítia nespokojnosť so svojimi rodovými identitami a snažia sa z nich vyslobodiť prostredníctvom námorníctva a pirátstva. Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to examine gender nonconformity in Daphne du Mauri-er’s novels The Loving Spirit and Frenchman’s Creek. The analysis focuses on the two protagonists, Janet and Dona respectively, who feel constantly dissatisfied with their gender identities and they seek escape through sailing and piracy.
