Inclusion of pupils with a different mother tongue into the education system of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou začleňování žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem do vzdělávacího systému České republiky. Hlavní důraz je kladem na velkou skupinu ukrajinských uprchlíků, kteří byli nuceni z důvodu válečného konfliktu opustit nedobrovolně svou zemi. Diplomová práce je strukturovaná do dvou částí, teoretické a analytické. Teoretická část se skládá ze dvou kapitol. První kapitola čtenáře seznamuje s odbornou terminologií, která se váže k diplomové práci. Přibližuje pojmy žák s odlišným mateřským jazykem, podpůrná opatření pro žáky s odlišným mateřským jazykem, inkluze a integrace, role sociálního pedagoga při práci s žáky s odlišným mateřským jazykem, význam multikulturní výchovy. Vysvětluje pojem uprchlík, ukrajinský žák, srovnává český a ukrajinský školský systém a zdroje financování žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem. Analytická část diplomové práce představuje kvalitativní výzkum vzorku ukrajinských žáků vycházející ze dvou projektů, které usnadňují začlenění těchto dětí do českého vzdělávacího systému.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis examines the issue of integration of pupils with a different mother tongue into the education system of the Czech Republic. The main emphasis is placed on a large group of Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their country involuntarily due to the war. The diploma thesis is structured in two parts, theoretical and analytical. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter acquaints the reader with the professional terminology, which binds to the thesis. Especially approaching concepts such as pupils with a different mother tongue and support measures for them, inclusion and integration, the role of a social educator in working with pupils with a different mother tongue, the importance of multicultural education. The thesis explains the concept of a refugee, an Ukrainian pupil, compares the Czech and Ukrainian school system and sources of funding for pupils with a different mother tongue. The analytical part of the thesis is a qualitative research of a sample of Ukrainian pupils based on two projects that facilitate the integration of these children into the Czech education system.
