Lobbying as an Investment

Abstract:

Hlavním záměrem této diplomové práce je zpracování odborného textu, který se zabývá problematikou lobbingu (s jistým akcentem na lobbing ve smyslu možné investice). Práce je rozdělena do 7 kapitol. V teoretické části, v rámci literární rešerše, která zaujímá 4 kapitoly, jsou vymezena obecná východiska (etymologie, subjekty lobbingu, druhy lobbingu, transparentnost, ekonomie lobbingu, teorie her či také samotná problematika lobbingu jako investice). Kromě zmíněného řeší teoretická část i problematiku korupce nebo regulace na úrovních vybraných států. Aplikační část je věnována porovnání (komparaci) zemí podle CPI, dále jsou statisticky vyhodnoceny náklady na lobbing z pohledu firem a rovněž je využito sběru kvantitativních dat (dotazníkové šetření), kde je zkoumán pohled na lobbing z řad široké veřejnosti, otázky týkající se běžných pojmů, regulatoriky, investic do lobbingu, obecně tedy získání dat o názorech, preferencích a postojích k této problematice. Hlavní zjištění se týká především vnímání lobbingu, regulace, výdajů na lobbing a Indexu vnímání korupce.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to elaborate a professional text dealing with the issue of lobbying (emphasis on lobbing in the meaning of possible investment). The thesis is structured info 7 chapters. In the theoretical part, as part of the literature review, which consists of 4 chapter, there are defined general grounds (etymology, subjects of lobbying, game theory or the issue of lobbying as an investment). In addition to the above, the theoretical part also deals with the issue of corruption or regulation at the level of selected countries. The application part is devoted to the comparison (comparative method) of countries according to the CPI, the costs of lobbying from the perspective of companies are further statistically evaluated and quantitative data collection (questionnaire survey) is also used, where is the view of lobbying from the general public, with questions concerning common concepts, regulation, investment in lobbying, in general, obtaining data on opinions, preferences and attitudes towards this issue. The main findings primarily concern the perception of lobbying, regulation, lobbying expenditures, and Corruption Perceptions Index.
