The Quality of Life and Subjective Characteristics of Health

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá vztah mezi kvalitou života a subjektivním pocitem zdraví. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny definice a pojmy související s kvalitou života a také charakteristika z hlediska psychologie a sociologie. Vychází z odborné literatury a zjištěných informací o dané problematice. Práce je dále zaměřena na otázku zdraví a kvality života, učitelský stres a strategie zvládání stresu, zmiňuje nástroje měření kvality života. Praktická část zkoumá vztah mezi kvalitou života a zdravím. Jsou zde uvedeny výsledky rozboru získaných dat a stručné hodnocení výzkumných hypotéz. Výzkum prokázal vztah lidí s vyšší kvalitou života k vyššímu pocitu subjektivního zdraví. Tito lidé mají méně zdravotních stesků, vyšší kvalitu spánku a je u nich patrné nižší pracovní zatížení.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the relationship between quality of life and subjective feeling of health. It is based on the literature and found information on the issue. The theoretical part deals with definitions and concepts relating to quality of life, moreover with characteristics in terms of psychology and sociology. The work focuses on the issue of health and quality of life, teacher’s stress, strategies how to handle stress and mentions also evaluation tools of quality of life. The practical part examines the relationship between quality of life and health. It contains results of data analysis and a brief evaluation of research hypotheses. The research has demonstrated the relationship of people with higher quality of life to a higher sense of subjective health. These people have fewer health complaints, higher quality of sleep and they illustrate lower workload.
