Investing in art as a non-traditional investment instrument

Anotace:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem investice do umění jako netradiční investiční nástroj. Teoretická část práce popisuje základy investování, trh s uměním, umění ve smyslu investic a nástroje a funkce investic do umění. Analytická část analyzuje trh fyzických uměleckých předmětů, proces nákupu držení a prodej NFT a investiční fondy a fondy sbírek umění, které ve finále porovnává mezi sebou. V návrhové části práce jsou na základě provedených analýz navrženy vhodní investoři a postupy pro jednotlivé metody investic do umění jako jsou investice do fyzického umění, investice do digitálního umění NFT a investování do investičního fondu zaměřeného na umění.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of investing in art as a non-traditional investment instrument. The theoretical part of the work describes the basics of investing, the art market, art in the sense of investment, and the tools and functions of investing in art. The analytical part analyzes the market for physical art objects, the process of buying, holding and selling NFTs and investment funds and art collection funds, which in the finale compares with each other. In the project part of the thesis, based on the analyses carried out, suitable investors and procedures are proposed for different methods of investment in art such as investment in physical art, investment in digital art NFT and investment in an art-focused investment fund.
