Příčiny a dopady organizovaného zločinu v Latinské Americe: Srovnání Mexika a Chile

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bude na základě srovnání příčin, dopadů a prostředků proti boji zjistit, proč je na tom Mexiko v oblasti organizovaného zločinu hůře (ve srovnání s Chile). Srovnání bude provedeno na různých úrovních (ekonomické, politické a sociokulturní). V každém sektoru budou porovnávány různé indexy a hodnoty, aby co nejlépe zachytily problém a vysvětlily, proč je v rámci jednoho regionu tak velký rozdíl. V teoretické části budou popsány hlavní pojmy související s organizovaným zločinem, jeho charakteristika a typologie, ale také teoretický přehled příčin, dopadů a prostředků boje s organizovaným zločinem. V empirické části této práce bude daná teorie aplikována na konkrétní případ Mexika a Chile.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis will be to find out, by comparing the causes, impacts, and means, why Mexico is worse off (compared to Chile) when it comes to organized crime. The comparison will be made on various levels (economic, political, and socio-cultural). Each sector will compare different indices and values to best capture the problem and explain why there is such a big difference within one region. The theoretical part will describe the main concepts related to organized crime, its characteristics, and typology, but also the theoretical overview of causes, impacts, and means of fighting organized crime. In the empirical part of this thesis, the given theory will be applied to the specific case of Mexico and Chile.
