People with celiac disease - niche tourism market?

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je specifický (nikový) trh cestovního ruchu, konkrétně celiakové. Teoretická část představuje problematiku celiakie. Zabývá se vymezením základních pojmů a klasifikace této nemoci. Popisuje problematiku a konkrétní bariéry celiaků ve spojitosti s cestováním po ČR a do zahraničí. Praktická část se zabývá případovou studií mezi celiaky a cestovními kancelářemi. Popisuje postoje obou dotazovaných skupin k dané problematice a řeší chybějící nabídku služeb pro celiaky na trhu cestovního ruchu. Hlavním výstupem práce je prozkoumat, zda jsou celiakové perspektivní skupinou klientů pro tvorbu nových produktů v cestovním ruchu a navržení případných řešení. V závěru jsou představeny dvě řešení aktuálního problému, sestaveného za pomoci konzultací s odborníky v oboru cestovního ruchu a celiakie.

Abstract:

The subject of my thesis is a specific (niche) market of tourism, namely people with coeliac disease. The theoretic part introduces the issue of coeliac disease, focusing. On the basic definitions and classification of this autoimune disorder. It describes problems and specific barriers related to traveling in the Czech Republic and also abroad. The practical part analyses a case study performed among people with coeliac disease and travel agencies. It describes a general attitude of both groups to the problem and discuss the lack of offer of coeliac services within the market of tourism. The aim of the thesis is to examine whether the group of coeliac people is a sufficiently perspective target for introducing new products in the tourism industry. At the same time the most suitable proposals are made. In the last part of my thesis presents two solutions of the current problems, which were consulted with the specialists in the fields of tourism and coelic disease.
