Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá Tělocvičnou jednotou Sokol Česká Lípa. S využitím dochovaných archivních materiálů mapuje historii tohoto spolku, přičemž chronologický rámec badatelského záměru je ohraničen založením jednoty v roce 1904 a celostátním zrušením jednotné organizace Sokol v roce 1952. Práce je rozdělena do pěti částí. První, obecně pojatá, předkládá stručný přehled dějin Sokola. Ostatní jsou zaměřeny na jednotlivá období existence českolipského Sokola v kontextu československých nebo regionálních dějin a česko-německých vztahů. Nejrozsáhlejší a nejčlenitější oddíl je věnován éře první republiky, v níž Československá obec sokolská zaznamenala největší rozkvět. Závěrečná kapitola zpracovává dobu poválečné obnovy sokolské činnosti, která byla přerušena únorovým komunistickým pučem a zakončena zestátněním tělesné výchovy a sportu. Přílohy obsahují tabulkové přehledy a dobové fotografie.

Abstract:

This given thesis is interested in The Physical Educational Sokol Union in Česká Lípa. I have used archived historical documents that are maping the historical existence of this Union. The chronological frame of my research intention is limited by the foundation of the Union in 1904 until it was closed across the whole country in 1952. My thesis is divided into five parts. The first one is generally observing the basic overview of the historical development of the Union Sokol. The others are focused on individual historical periods of the existence of the Union in Česká Lípa in the context of Czechoslovac regional history and the Czech and German mutual relationship. The largest and the most dynamic part of my thesis is devoted to the period of The First Republic when The Physical Educational Sokol Union was at its highest. The last chapter is describing post-war recovery activities of The Sokol Union that was interrupted by the communist putch in February and ended in nationalizing physical education and sports in general. The enclosures include chart overviews and photographs from that period of time.
