Work stress at first-instance judges

Abstract:

Předmětem výzkumu této práce je pracovní stres u prvostupňových soudců. Cílem je zmapovat jednotlivé stresory, které se při práce soudce objevují a také porovnat celkové prožívání stresu vzhledem k pohlaví, věku, délce praxe a typu agendy jednotlivých soudců. Ve výzkumu bylo zpracováno celkem 148 kompletních dotazníků. K analýze dat byl použit Meisterův dotazník a dotazník vlastní konstrukce. Dotazníky byly distribuovány prostřednictvím e-mailu. Data byla zpracována pomocí analýzy rozptylu, t-testu a Spearmanova korelačního koeficientu. Meisterův dotazník ukázal, že soudci nemají tendenci k přetížení. Při porovnání mezi skupinami více stresu prožívaly ženy než muži. Další porovnání mezi skupinami dle věku, délky praxe a agendy neukázaly průkazné rozdíly. Největšími stresory se ukázaly být vysoká pracovní zátěž a časový tlak. Dalšími stresory, které byly potvrzeny jsou odpovědnost a práce s lidmi. Naopak stresory izolovanost a propojení pracovního a osobního života nebyly přítomny.

Abstract:

The subject of this work is the work stress at first instance judges. The aim is to map individual stressors that appear in the work of the judge and also to compare the overall experience of stress with respect to sex, age, length of practice and type of agenda of individual judges. A total of 148 complete questionnaires were processed in the research. The data analysis was performed using a Meister questionnaire and a self-design questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed via e-mail. Data was analyzed by variance analysis, t-test and Spearman correlation coefficient. Meister's questionnaire showed that judges do not tend to overload. When compared between groups, women experienced more stress than men. Further comparisons between groups by age, length of practice and agenda did not show significant differences. High stress and time pressure proved to be the greatest stressors. Other stressors that have been confirmed are responsibility and work with people. On the other hand, the stressors isolation and connection between work and personal life were not present.
