Mapping and analysis of tourism in countries of the Middle East - Egypt, Israel, Lebanon

Abstract:

Bachelor’s Dissertation covers a current state and the position of the tourism in the countries of the Middle East with focus on Egypt, Israel and Lebanon. The aim of the thesis is an analysis of the tourism of the previously mentioned countries in relation to the current security situation and political development in the Middle East. Theoretical part of the thesis briefly covers a definition of the tourism, its influence, status and position in the world; it presents its actions and further conditions of its development. Theoretical part of thesis is more broadly dedicated to the issue of the security in tourism and its consequences on the behaviour of the participants. Analytical part of the thesis presents the image of the Middle East as a geographical region of tourism and it more closely introduces the character of Egypt, Israel and Lebanon. It describes the mutual relations, political situation within the countries and it analyses the connections and ties between the region´s current affairs and tourism in these countries. Proposal part of the thesis submits the recommendations and ideas, which could lead to the improvement of the current state of the tourism in the countries of the Middle East.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca mapuje aktuálny stav cestovného ruchu v krajinách Blízkeho východu so zameraním na Egypt, Izrael a Libanon. Cieľom práce je analýza cestovného ruchu v týchto krajinách v závislosti od súčasnej bezpečnostnej situácie a politického vývoja na Blízkom východe. Teoretická časť sa stručne zaoberá definíciou cestovného ruchu, jeho vplyvom a postavením vo svete, predstavuje jeho výkony a ďalšie podmienky jeho rozvoja. Vo veľkej miere sa teoretická časť venuje problematike bezpečnosti v cestovnom ruchu a jej vplyvu na správanie sa jeho účastníkov. Analytická časť podáva obraz o Blízkom východe, ako o geografickom regióne cestovného ruchu a bližšie predstavuje charakter Egypta, Izraela a Libanonu. Popisuje ich vzájomné vzťahy, vnútropolitickú situáciu a analyzuje spojitosť medzi aktuálnym dianím v regióne a cestovným ruchom v týchto krajinách. Návrhová časť predkladá odporúčania a nápady, ktoré by mohli viesť ku zlepšeniu súčasného stavu cestovného ruchu v krajinách Blízkeho východu.
